Simple meat tenderizer for marinating steaks, burgers and chicken! Meat tenderizers help aid in the breakdown of the meat’s enzymes. (This is what makes meat rubbery and hard to chew.) Making the meat tenderer.

Makes 4-5 servings

  • 1/3 c Salt
  • 3 tsp Sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 ½ tb Celery Salt
  • 1 tb Paprika
  • 1 ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper


  1. Combine all ingredients into a pestle and mix with a mortar.
  2. Once thoroughly mixed, put into small container for later usage.
